Bloody. Sadistic. Ivan.

Why I always seem to portray him that way in this manner, I'm not sure. XD I love Russia and I think he's adorable, but part of me just wants to make art of his violent side. Because Russia can be VERY scary, too. 8P

This was a lot of fun and more hard work to make then you could imagine. It took me a ton of times to get my handprint and the paint smearing down from it to look right, otherwise, it just looked like globs of paint without that added element of transparency. I also tried several different textures of broken glass, and finally found this one stock photo that worked out just right. Everything in this work is charcoal pencil, paper, and tempera paint. The only digital add-in is the texture.
